* - in the 1930 Broadway revue "Three's a Crowd". It grew quickly in popularity, and by the end of 1930 at least 11 American bands had recorded it. Louis Armstrong was the first jazz musician to record it, in October 1930
The album was recorded in May 1980. Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson, who died December 25, 2022, at age 82, played on this. A salary dispute between the band and Muddy Waters's manager halted the session. Eventually the album was completed by using a couple of outtakes from the 1977 album "Hard Again." Johnny Winter and guitarist Bob Margolin were not happy with the result.

Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson died December 25, 2022, at age 82. He should not to be confused with Luther "Georgia Boy" Johnson, or Luther "Houserocker" Johnson. He played in Muddy Waters' band from 1972 to 1980, unlike Luther Johnson, who played in Muddy's band from 1967 to 1970. {Got that? :))} He lived in Antrim, NH for many years.
