Label owner/Frank Guida chose Anderson's stage name, "U.S. Bonds", in hopes that it would be confused with a PSA, and thereby garner more DJ attention. He had 5 Top-10, 7 Top-40 and 10 total chart singles on Legrand from 1960 to 1962, which were noted for their "sounds like they were recorded in an airplane hanger" production. He was in a writing/ producing partnership with Jerry Goldstein and Richard Gottehrer, creating the Angels "My Boyfriend's Back" and The McCoys "Sorrow", covered by English group The Merseys, a big English hit {UK #4/ 04-66}. The three also masqueraded as The Strangeloves, a trio of Australian sheep-breeding brothers (HA! HA!). / Allegedly, the title was a reference to Candy Johnson, an actress in the “Beach Party” films (once credited as the "perpetual motion dancer") after they saw her perform at the 1964 World's Fair in New York City.

He also was the Music Director for the films 'Ned Kelly' (1970) and 'Who Is Harry Kellerman and Why Is He Saying Those Terrible Things About Me?' Gary Wright died Sept 4th, at age 80. He started out in The Music Biz in 1960 with Billy Markle as "Gary And Billy", releasing a single. While in Europe in 1967, he abandoned his plans to become a doctor and eventually joined the English band 'Art', which soon became "Spooky Tooth", with Wright as co-lead vocal with Mike Harrison. Wright left the band after the release of the 'Ceremony' LP in late 1969, recoded with French 'music concrete' composer. Wright then released this, his first solo album. // Wright and Harrison reformed ST in the fall of 1972, with a different line-up. Ian Curtis of Joy Division was a fan of the band / * - It has been called a "Rock Oper"; it follows an astronaut, whom while on trip to Saturn, encounter aliens who take him to their galaxy.
