Madilu System was a key figure in the OK Jazz during Franco's long tenure as the president of the band. Franco is said to have respected Madillu because of Madillu's voice, which Franco acknowledge was better than his. Madillu recorded several classics with TPOK Jazz including Mamou and Non. In both recordings, the harmony between the two is evidence of the good interpersonal chemistry between the two. After the death of Franco and the effective dissolution of the OK Jazz, Madillu enjoyed success on several solo projects including La Bonne Humeur.
